Hope everyone had a great spring break and enjoyed all the CRAZY weather!

The chocolate fundraiser candy is here and can be picked up anytime tomorrow.  If you cannot pick it up tomorrow we will send it home with your child Friday.

The Easter Party will be next Friday, April the 3rd at 9:00.  We need several volunteers to help hide eggs and help set up the classroom.  Marshall’s mom, Kimberli, is heading up this party. (Thank you Kimberli!)  If you have any questions please give her a call.

Parent conferences are scheduled for next Tuesday which is an early release at 11:00.  Please check your kiddos folder and return that note to me even if you can’t make it.

WHEW!  Now on to the fun stuff.

Spelling words:  only,down, did, over, made, way, find, use, may, water

Phonics:  We are focusing on punctuation and reviewing all skills taught.  When you are reading with your child it will help if you will point out exclamation points and question marks and discuss how you should say things differently when you are excited or asking a question.

Math:  We will be really focusing on skip counting starting with different numbers such as starting with 7 and adding 2 for a pattern like 7,9,11,13 etc…  Money is still a work in progress.  If you have time and a little change please add coins together with your kiddo using only 1 quarter and multiple dimes, nickels and pennies.  Time is also a work in progress.  Just asking them what time it is to the hour and half hour will help.

Writing:  Punctuation and details are what most of us are working on.  The really need to writing good, detailed stories with a strong beginning, middle and end.

Social Studies is all about Texas!!!
